TI10 New Dates and Location Announced
Valve has announced that The International 10 will be held in Bucharest, Romania
The $40 Million dollar tournament will take place from 7th-17th October 2021
TI10 was originally schedule to take place in Stockholm, Sweden at 5th-15th August 2021
Valve has announced that The International (TI10) will take place in Bucharest, Romania. TI10’s schedule has also shifted with the tournament now being scheduled to take place from 7th-17th October 2021. This comes after Valve announced that TI10 might not take place in Sweden because they couldn’t come to an agreement with the Swedish government to classify the tournament as an elite sporting event.
For the first time since the International 2011, The International will be held in Europe. After TI1 in Cologne, Germany, the next 6 TI’s from TI2 to TI7 was held in Seattle. TI8 took place in Vancouver, Canada. In 2019, TI9 moved out of North America to Shanghai where it was held in the Mercedes Benz Arena.

In a blog post titled “Announcing New Location and Dates for The International – Dota 2 Championships,” Valve stated that TI10 will be held this October in Bucharest, Romania in the the country’s largest stadium — Arena Nationala.
TI10 Date and New Schedule
The tournament was originally scheduled to take place in August 2020. However, it was indefinitely postponed due to the pandemic and its various lockdowns. Later, Valve announced that it was scheduled to take place in Sweden in August 2021, however that too has been postponed. Now TI10 is scheduled to take place in October 2021.
The International 10’s Group Stage will be held from 7th-10th October 2021.
The International 10’s playoffs will be held from 12th-17th October 2021
TI10 is confirmed to have a live audience witnessing the event in Bucharest, Romania.

Despite the delays, The TI10 regional qualifiers and the Nemestice Battlepass remain unaffected by this announcement. It will be interesting to see if Valve decides to release another Battle Pass prior to the tournament or if they are simply going to extend the ongoing Battle Pass.
