Who is T1?

T1 is a Korean esports organization that started as a Starcraft team back in 2003 where they dominated the esports scene, winning various championship titles from KFT EVER Cup, LG IBM MBC Team League, and the Tucsan MBCGame.

The organization has since expanded to various esports titles with its League of Legends team being the most successful team, earning a ton of championship titles such as the League of Legends Worlds Championship 2013, 2015, and 2016, along with nine regional championship titles in their homeland, Korea.

T1’s LoL esports pros, top fan-favorites, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and Park “Teddy” Jin-seong have also appeared on the first official Korean trailer for Wild Rift.

Wild Rift has definitely come a long way with its esports scene, like the Southeast Asia Icon Series and the intercontinental esports circuit, Origin Series for Europe, Turkey, CIS, the Middle East & North Africa. A lot of big esports organizations like Cloud9 and Team Secret, including T1 have started to take notice of its rise in popularity. Given how influential T1 is in the League of Legends esports scene, it will be interesting to see if its Wild Rift roster will be able to deliver the same hype as its LoL esports team had.
