Nexplay Esports officially confirmed that Haze will be joining the organization through a social media post on July 5, 2021. The organization is yet to reveal if Haze will be joining Nexplay EVOS for the upcoming MPL PH Season 8.

Haze May be Joining Nexplay EVOS

After Omega Esports’ official announcement that it is parting ways with its Mobile Legends roster, its former mid-lane player Haze is reportedly transferring to Nexplay Esports as the team’s support player, according to a report from Tiebreaker Times. If the transfer is officially confirmed, he will be reunited with his former mentor and teammate Setsuna “Akosi Dogie” Ignacio and will be the replacement for Dexter “Exort” Martinez which was previously released by the organization.

Nexplay Esports is yet to announce the addition of Haze to their Mobile Legends team. As a matter of fact, they still haven’t revealed the full roster for Nexplay EVOS aside from Renejay “RENEJAY” Baracarse, John Paul “H2wo” Salonga, and Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera. Nevertheless, Haze has made a few appearances in various vlogs of Nexplay’s talents. One of the vlogs is from RENEJAY where he talks about the return of Haze in the organization.

Haze started his Mobile Legends esports career under the Aether Main team where they dominated the MPL PH Season 1 and claimed their first championship title. He also participated in the 2019 SEA Games under the Philippine team, Sibol alongside iconic pro players Kenneth Jiane ”Kenji” Villa, Karl Gabriel ”KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Carlito ”Ribo” Ribo, Angelo Kyle ”Pheww” Arcangel, Allan Sancio “Lusty” Castromayor, and Jason Rafael ”Jay” Torculas. The team bagged the first gold medal for the Mobile Legends esports category of the 2019 SEA Games. He also played under Bren Esports for three seasons before moving into Omega Esports.

One of the pioneers of the Mobile Esports scene in the Philippines, Jeniel “Haze” Bata-anon is reportedly joining Nexplay Esports after being released from Omega Esports. According to a report from Tiebreaker Times, Haze will replace the previously released player Dexter “Exort” Martinez as the support player of Nexplay EVOS. Haze is a former member of the MPL PH Season 1 champion, Aether Main (which later rebranded to Nexplay Esports) but later transferred to Omega Esports. Nexplay Esports is yet to officially confirm the addition of Haze to the team. However, the pro player has been reportedly spotted playing with Nexplay EVOS’ roster during livestreams.

If Haze does join Nexplay EVOS for the upcoming MPL PH Season 8, it will be interesting to see how well the team performs with an experienced veteran player in their roster.
