2 Akuma CS:GO Players Apparently Leave Team in Middle of CIS RMR Event
Another controversy seems to have smacked Akuma right in the middle of a CIS RMR tournament.
Two Akuma CS:GO players seem to have left the Ukrainian roster right in the middle of the currently ongoing StarLadder CIS RMR 2021.
SENSEi and j3kie are the two Akuma players who have apparently started searching for new CS:GO teams.
No official statement has been made by Akuma or StarLadder so far, as Akuma are scheduled to play their last group stage match later today.
The controversy ridden Ukrainian CS:GO roster of Akuma has found themselves in the middle of another meltdown, as two members of its current lineup have apparently left the team right in the middle of the currently ongoing StarLadder CIS RMR 2021. Following three consecutive loses to forZe, Gambit, and Na’Vi, both Evgeniy “j3kie” Sergachev and Dmitriy “SENSEi” Shvorak have seemingly left Akuma and are actively looking for a new team. No official announcement has been made by Akuma so far, but the players seem to have removed the team’s name from their social media handles. It remains to be seen how StarLadder handles this situation, as Akuma is scheduled to play their last group stage match against Nemiga later today.
Akuma Gets Caught up in the Middle of Another Controversy
Akuma rose to prominence following their incredible performance at EPIC CIS League Spring 2021, where they defeated teams like Na’Vi and Virtus.pro while attaining a third place finish at the first RMR event of the region.
Compared to that, Akuma has fallen drastically short this time around at the currently ongoing StarLadder CIS RMR 2021. They have lost all their group stage matches so far by a score of ‘2-0’ against forZe, Gambit, and Na’Vi.
Having not won a single map at the second RMR event, their crushing loss against Na’Vi yesterday seemed to have been the tipping point with Akuma facing heavy criticism from the community. Following this, reports started coming in that two Akuma players j3kie and SENSEi had left the team and were looking for new CS:GO teams, as posted by them on vk.com.

Post About Akuma Players Leaving Team
SENSEi’s Instagram handle’s description was also changed to read “Professional CS:GO player for ?”, Akuma no longer being mentioned by the player. Similarly, even j3kie changed his Twitter handle description to “csgo player for”, not mentioning the name of any team.
No official statement on the subject has been released by Akuma or the tournament organizers so far. The Ukrainian team still have to play one more match against Nemiga as part of the group stage, scheduled to take place later today at 19:30 IST.
