SG e-sports is Through to The International 10

SG e-sports is the third SA team at TI10

South America will be elated with the way its teams have performed in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) this year. Beastcoast and Thunder Predator booked their berths at TI10 after gaining enough DPC points to secure a direct invite. With a victory at the TI10 SA qualifier, SG e-sports will be the third SA representative at the biggest Dota 2 tournament of 2021.

SG e-sports was not considered to be a frontrunner for the TI10 SA qualifier. It was widely believed that NoPing e-sports would win the tournament, but they were dealt an unexpected loss by team Infinity in the fourth round of the lower bracket and thus failed to advance in the qualifier.

Meanwhile, SG e-sports made waves in the upper bracket, winning back-to-back series. In the first round, they faced BINOMISTAS, who were competitive, but SG e-sports was able to emerge victorious 2-1. They then took care of EgoBoys with a 2-0 series win in just over 50 minutes. With this momentum, SG e-sports put together a show of quality gameplay in the upper bracket final against Infinity, winning 2-0.

With the grand finals set, SG e-sports, a team filled with confidence and rhythm, was up against Team Unknown, a team that was on a courageous lower bracket run. The all-Brazilian team of SG esports emerged stronger on the grand final day, as they defeated Team Unknown 3-1 with a diverse drafting pattern, excellent laning skills, and superior teamfight execution.

The players were ecstatic after this crucial grand final win in the TI10 SA qualifier as they seemingly jumped and hugged each other in exultation.
