EternaLEnVy found a new home with Sadboys, and he will likely be seen playing with the team in the TI10 NA qualifier. Information regarding this appeared on Valve’s Dota 2 Majors Registration page, where Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao was added to Sadboys’ roster on June 11, 2021. The NA veteran replaces another legend of the region, Clinton “Fear” Loomis, who stepped down from the team and announced his intention to stream and coach last month. It is yet another roster switch for EternaLEnVy who has struggled to find a stable place throughout the past few months.

Since Kingrd plays in the offlane and EternaLEnVy had communicated his desire to play with him, the SA player might be the fifth and final member of the team. Before Black N Yellow, EternaLEnVy played a single series for Byzantine Raiders in season one of the NA DPC.

Sadboys had storied players like PPD, Fear, and Moo throughout the two DPC seasons but only managed to finish fifth and seventh. Now that another experienced player, EternaLEnVy, has joined the roster, it will be interesting to see how this team performs during the TI10 qualifier.

The TI10 NA qualifier will take place from June 30 – July 3, 2021, to determine the one team that punches a ticket to the biggest Dota 2 event of the year. NA already has two representatives at TI10 in the form of Evil Geniuses and Quincy Crew. In the qualifier, Sadboys’ toughest opponents will be Undying and 4 Zoomers.

Recently, Fear, who was Sadboys’ carry before EternaLEnVy, announced that he would coach Thunder Predator.

Thunder Predator was the 12th and final team to receive an invitation to TI10. This will not be Fear’s first stint in the coaching role as he has mentored Evil Geniuses in 2014 and 2016-17.
