The Free Fire World Series 2021 (FFWS 2021) Singapore peaked at over 5.4 Million viewers in the first round of the grand finals, according to Esports Charts. This makes FFWS 2021 Singapore the most-watched Free Fire tournament as well as the most-watched esports tournament of all time, beating last year’s Free Fire Continental Series (FFCS) Asia that peaked at 2.5 Million Viewers. The Free Fire World Series 2021 concluded with the Thailand team Phoenix Force showcasing an impressive show of talent and team chemistry, claiming three consecutive Booyahs to claim the championship crown at the FFWS 2021 Singapore.

FFWS 2021 Singapore: A New World Record

According to Esports Charts, the World Series opening ceremony registered 4.6 million viewers at its peak. When the first round started, viewership peaked at 5.4 million. The subsequent rounds did, however, not attract the same number of viewers as the first round. But the viewership throughout the finals remained relatively high, with the tournament concluding with an average concurrent viewership of 2,087, 307.

Hindi stream viewers account for a large portion of the audience with 1.9 Million peak viewers, while Indonesian viewers contributed 1 Million peak viewers. FFWS 2021’s YouTube streams received a combined audience of approximately 4.9 million viewers, an impressive figure in and of itself.

Phoenix Force Are the Champions of the FFWS 2021 Singapore

The Thailand team Team Phoenix Force won the tournament with a score of 113, following four rounds of action. At an international Free Fire tournament, the team even set a new record by winning three Booyahs in a row.

Phoenix Force will be going home with the FFWS 2021 championship trophy, along with a $500,000 prize money with one of their members Piyapon “TheCruz” Boonchuay acquiring the MVP title.


Free Fire has been seeing quite a strong consistent viewership in its esports tournaments in the past year. It will be interesting to see if the upcoming tournaments can maintain this level of dominance, especially with the launch of games like Apex Legends Mobile and Battlegrounds Mobile India, right on the horizon.
