How to Avoid Being Toxic in CS:GO

Electronic who is currently in sublime form, putting up incredible performances alongside the Na’Vi star player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, spoke about how players can avoid being toxic when playing CS:GO.

“First and foremost, you have to understand you’re just making things worse this way. There’s always the human factor, emotions might get the best of you, and you could end up flipping out for no reason. You have to realise you are going to make it worse anyway. You could cheer someone up, but if you’re being toxic towards your teammate, it’ll only make things worse.”

Na’Vi IGL Boombl4 who has been criticised by the CS:GO community for not being the ideal leader for the CIS side, also added his comments on the topic stating that,

“You got to realize it’s not going to help you win. Unnecessary negative emotions make some players upset if they made a mistake or something. It’s better to support them or tell them what they should’ve done instead, but in a polite manner to ensure it doesn’t happen again.”

How to Manage Burnout in CS:GO

The 2 players continued on to answer how one can manage burnout and prevent getting exhausted. Boombl4 came forward to speak first stating that,

“I mean. You always have an ultimate goal of achieving a certain result, so just keep reminding yourself why you’re doing that. Every time it motivates you more and more. You have to try and stay on track, so to speak.

The source of motivation, can be different. At first, you might want to join a team because you want to play on a pro team. Then you get on a team and you want to join a better team. Then you might want to win a certain tournament or do it for your parents. Everyone has a different motivation. You can always find new things that’ll motivate you. But it is up to you to figure out what those things are and what it is that you want to achieve. You set out goals and you work towards them.”

The two players spoke about a lot of other things at length as well like explaining professional players daily routine, how a beginner can start practicing to get better at the game, different ways to find a team, and many other things.

Na’Vi is currently participating in the first CIS RMR tournament of 2021 – EPIC CIS League Spring 2021, where they currently hold a ‘2-1’ win record. Na’Vi came under heavy fire after they lost ‘2-0’ to Entropiq, but the team has found its stride since then and will be facing their toughest challenge later today as they go up against Gambit Esports.
