T1’s 2-1 victory over OB.Neon in the SEA 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division meant that they became the second SEA team to guarantee a spot in the WePlay AniMajor. T1 ended with a 5-2 W-L record which ties them with TNC Predator for the first spot.
So, both teams are now gearing up for a pivotal tiebreaker in the SEA 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division that will determine the team that directly qualifies for the playoffs of the WePlay AniMajor.
However, Kuku and Gabbi’s moms reflected a delightful angle to this battle with a healthy conversation in the comments section.
Kuku’s Mom: Nice one son! Well played T1!
Gabbi’s Mom: Congrats
Kuku’s Mom: Congrats as well. Our sons will still face each other [T1 and TNC will still have a tiebreaker series]. May the best team win, but our friendship will still remain. ❤❤❤
Gabbi’s Mom: Of course, because the same thing applies to them as well. [Kuku and Gabbi’s friendship]
While Kuku and Gabbi currently play on different teams and will be seen giving their best to outdo each other in the upcoming tiebreakers, the two Filipino players have seemingly developed a strong bond since they played together at TNC Predator.
The BO3 tiebreaker between T1 and TNC Predator is scheduled for May 22, 2021, at 6:00 PM SGT. The team that emerges as the winner in this important contest will get a big boost on the road to TI10. The winner gets 500 DPC points, 200 more than the runner-up, and will also begin the Major in the playoffs. This will significantly propel the chances of earning more DPC points as the team that loses the tiebreaker will begin the Major in the group stage.
