Benched Cloud9 Rifler Floppy Might Leave CS:GO to Join Their Valorant Roster

Former Cloud9 rifler Ricky “floppy” Kemery who has been away from competitive Counter-Strike for almost a month now, might be switching over to Valorant soon. As per a report by Rush B Media, floppy could be switching over to Cloud9 Blue as a replacement for Skyler “Relyks” Weaver, who departed the lineup yesterday following a string of mediocre performances. Floppy has been with the North American organization for more than a year now, playing the role of an entry fragger across both their old and revamped CS:GO lineups. The decision to move from CS:GO to Valorant was always on the cards, considering the decline in the competitive scene for the Valve shooter.

Floppy might be switching from CS:GO to Valorant

The North American rifler floppy who has been with Cloud9 for 2 different variations of their CS:GO roster, might now be switching over to Valorant and joining their Cloud9 Blue lineup as a replacement for Relyks who left the team recently.

Floppy has been talking about a lot of stuff related to Valorant on his social media which seems to be in line with the reports coming out. He recently even spoke about his Valorant account being allegedly hacked as his in-game ‘player card’ was changed and there was even an extra ‘death match’ played from his account.

Floppy played CS:GO competitively for around 6 years, from 2015 to 2021. During this time he mostly played for tier-two Counter-Strike teams like Vision Gaming, Team Singularity, and ATK, getting his big break with Cloud9 in Jan 2020. But this was a short-lived stint as he along with his teammates could not live up to the organization’s expectations.

He continued on with Cloud9’s CS:GO organization following their ‘Colossus’ revamp but once again the much-hyped team could never deliver what they promised, constantly struggling through their short tenure together where they could not attain even a single worthy result.

Now after a year of struggling in Counter-Strike followed by almost a month of uncertainty, it seems floppy might finally be returning to competitive gaming but this time in Valorant. Where he will be playing against some of the best players in the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers 2.

Cloud9 Blue has failed to qualify for the VCT Masters so far due to various struggles that the lineup has been facing. Since then the organization has made a lot of changes to perfect its roster and qualify for the Master level tournament. Maybe with the addition of floppy they will gain the missing firepower to make this a reality.
