Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt is already returning to the competitive CS:GO scene as he will be playing in the DreamHack Masters Open Qualifiers this March 3. He announced on Twitter his plan to participate in the tournament and also announced the 4 teammates he will be playing with. NBK- originally revealed that Robin ”flusha” Rönnquist would be part of his team as well, but he later deleted that announcement and said that the Swedish player could not join them in the tournament. NBK- last played under the organization OG for 14 months before he was benched in February after the team’s poor performance at the start of the year.

NBK- has revealed on Twitter his participation in the upcoming European Open Qualifiers for DreamHack Masters Spring 2021. The French rifler originally tweeted saying “Presenting you team PogChamp for the DH Masters qualifier” and mentioned the 4 people he was supposed to play with. The 4 players were

But NBK deleted the original tweet and soon after explained that they had to find a different team member as flusha would be unable to join them in the tournament. NBK- came out with the final team after a while, replacing flusha with Turkish rifler Buğra “Calyx” Arkın.

NBK- was recently benched from OG’s active CS:GO lineup following their poor start to the 2021 competitive season. The reason is believed to be due to “differences in in-game vision” between NBK- and the rest of OG. Just like NBK-, the 4 other players he will be playing with have been benched or released from their previous organization.

  • GuardiaN – Benched, then released from Na’Vi on January 2021
  • MICHU – Released from Envy on February 2021
  • rigoN – Benched, then released from c0ntact Gaming on January 2021
  • Calyx – Released from Envy on February 2021

The team who are not under any organization will play together in the DreamHack Masters Spring 2021: Open Qualifier. The top 4 finishers of the tournament will move on to the Closed European Qualifiers. The top 3 teams of the Closed European Qualifier will qualify for the main tournament to be held in April this year.
